KELL KAY BOUNCES BACK

After a long break in the studio, urban artist Kell Kay is now set to launch his first project Love after 24 on Saturday at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC).

To ensure quality, class and diversity, the artist engaged the expertise of three producers in Henwood, Janta and Tricky Beats produced the album.

In an interview, the artist said fans will be in for a wonderful and enjoyable experience.

“This is my first album and fans should expect nothing but good music and the show will be amazing. We are covering all angles to make it a memorable night,” said Kay.

He said fans should brace for a collabo he did with Lulu titled 100.

“It’s going to bring the house down because I featured the artist I have always looked up to,” Kay said.

The artist said he is satisfied with the final line-up of artists on the night.

It includes Lulu, Gwamba, Fredokiss, Patience Namadingo, Provoice, Charisma and Macelba.

In a separate interview, Lulu said he is looking forward to supporting Kell Kay.

“We lived together in Kawale, so we are childhood friends. I have known him for some time. Even if I had not been invited, I still would have gone to his show. I am glad to be part of this line-up and fans will have fun,” he said.

On the collaboration with Kay, Lulu said the song is more about love and conditions that a lover has to meet to make a relation last.

Levison Msakambewa who is managing the event told The Nation that the line-up is a confirmation and a statement of the standards that Kell Kay is setting in the country.

“It’s a great line-up of artists who have shown solidarity to Kell Kay. It’s not often to have such artists perform on the same stage in a night. We are not leaving anything to chance to ensure a successful show. The sound and lighting is all top class to be in line with the top standards,”said Msakambewa.
