At least four kids have died after drowning in the Shire River at the upstream side of Tedzani Power station pond.
The accident happened yesterday when six children from surrounding villages aged between 2 and 4 were playing in the river.
These details are contained in a statement issued by the Electricity Generation Company (EGENCO) last night.
According to EGENCO management, actual details about the accident remain sketchy and police investigations are underway.
The electricity company explains that they had to lower the waters in the pond to retrieve the bodies.
