A Ukranian Boeing 737 plane carrying 180 passengers crashed after taking off from Imam Khomeini Airport in Tehran, Iran on Wednesday morning.
Reports from CNN indicate that most of the passengers died on the crash as confirmed by Pirhossein Koulivand, head of Iran’s Emergency Medical Services.
Evacuation of the survivors could not take place since the area of the crash caught fire.
According to Aljazeera, the plane was destined for Boryspil International Airport in Kyiv, Ukraine.
