In India – A senior police officer from Punjab was booked on Sunday for allegedly trying to murder his wife.
The accused is posted as a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) with the 13th Battalion of Punjab Armed Police in Chandigarh. The DSP’s wife has been identified as Sunita Soni.
Sunita Soni was a national-level handball player. The accused DSP, Atul Soni and his wife used to stay at the United Cooperative Society in Sector 68 of Mohali.
On Saturday, Sunita and her husband went to a party in Chandigarh. At the party, the DSP and his wife had an argument.
They came home from the party in two separate vehicles. When they reached home, Atul and Sunita started having an argument again.
