Analyst Hails DPP Supporters for Reacting Peacefully

A social and political commentator Makhumbo Munthali has hailed Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) cadets for reacting and behaving peacefully after court delivered its ruling.

According to Munthali, the reaction by DPP cadets should not be taken for granted as most expected them to react violent following their loss.

“Bravo DPP supporters for reacting peacefully and gracefully to the last night Court verdict,” said Munthali.

Yesterday, the Constitutional Court nullified the May 21, 2019 presidential election results which saw Peter Mutharika winner with Everton Chimulirenji as vice president of Malawi.

With court’s decision, people were immersed in fear as DPP cadets are well known with causing havoc.

However, they have proved people wrong as they have maintained their peace and are seen accepting court ruling.

Meanwhile, United Transformation Movement (UTM) President Saulos Chilima has been reinstated as the country’s vice president.
