The Blantyre District Health Office believes that it has managed to contain a cholera outbreak in its jurisdiction.
A couple of weeks ago, health authorities in Blantyre recorded three cases of cholera from some populous townships.
So far, no deaths have been recorded as all the registered cases were successfully treated.
Ministry of Health records show that 939 cases and 32 deaths were reported in the 2017/2018 cholera season across the country.
