At a time when the world is busy fighting the menace of coronavirus, an Israeli national was caught for allegedly growing cannabis at his rented apartment in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur.

The weed was grown in a high-tech environment on the 14th floor of the building. The illegal act got exposed after Jaipur police raided the apartment of the Israeli citizen.

The accused has been identified as 48-year-old Allen Molle. According to police, Molle had been growing cannabis for the last one year. He had made a high-tech greenhouse on the terrace of his rented apartment.

The banned crop was grown with the help of drip irrigation and using 80 tube lights in the greenhouse. The greenhouse was said to be temperature controlled.

The accused grew 1080 plants of cannabis at his Ajmer Road flat for which he was paying a rent of Rs 17000 per month. Jaipur police have arrested Molle and charged him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
