Man Kills 14-Year-Old Over Fear of Responsibilities after he Impregnated her

Police in Nigeria have arrested a 27-year-man for allegedly killing a 14-year-old girl over pregnancy ownership.

According to the Katsina state police command, Shaf’u Haruna was arrested for allegedly killing a young girl identified as Hamsiya Lawal, over dispute on the ownership of her pregnancy.

This was made known in a statement released by the country’s state police command spokesperson, Gambo Isah.

Initially, Shaf’u Haruna went into hiding after he allegedly killed the victim who he claims was his girlfriend sometime in December,.

According to the police spokesman, Haruna tricked the victim to a nearby bush, where he allegedly strangled and smashed her brain with heavy stone, killing her instantly.

The police says the suspect will be charged to court soon.
