This is what you should be cooking at home during lockdown

Celebrity chef Carl Joshua Ncube is back and these are recipe ideas he suggests you should try as you are in covid-19 lockdown.

BONE MARROW

1kg Bone Marrow
2tsp Chilli flakes
4tsp Oregano
6tsp Thyme
2tsp Rosemary
1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
1 bottle Savanna
1 bottle Hunters
2 Beef Stock Cubes
2 Onions
2 Carrots

In a deep baking tray place the bone marrow upright. In a bowl mix the chilli flakes, thyme, oregano, rosemary and Worcestershire sauce.

Season the bone marrow with salt and pepper and leave in the refrigerator for an hour.

Pour over Worcestershire and herb mixture coating each bone marrow well. Pour Savanna and hunters cider into the baking tray and add chopped onion, carrots.

Cover with foil and bake in an oven at 180 degrees for 2 hours.

LACTO FLATBREAD

3 Cups Plain flour
1tsp Garlic powder
1tsp Baking powder
1isp Salt
1/2cup Lacto
2 tbsp Olive oil
250m1 Milk

Whisk flour, garlic powder, baking powder and salt together in a bowl. Add the lacto, oil and milk.
Knead for about 1 minute until a soft dough is formed. Cover bowl with wrap and set aside for 30 min.

Dust a board with flour. Divide dough in half, then divide each half in 4 equal-sized pieces. Flatten them out with a rolling pin to roll each piece 2m m thick. Place on braai stand over hot coals or bake in oven.

When top side starts to bubble turn over then brush with oil leave a few minutes in oven or on braai stand before serving. Enjoy with cured meat olives and cheese.

BAE CORN

6 ears of sweetcorn
500g Streaky bacon
1tsp Chilli flakes
200g Butter/margarine
Toothpicks

Mix butter with chilli flakes

Rub all over each ear of sweet corn. Wrap sweetcorn in streaky bacon and secure with toothpicks. Place on medium heat of coals or in the grill of your stove turn after each side becomes crispy.
