MCP-UTM alliance accuses cabinet committee of politicizing COVID-19 pandemic

The main opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and its bedfellow United Transformation Movement (UTM) has accused the special Cabinet Committee on coronavirus of politicizing the pandemic to dent the image of the opposition political parties.

This has been said in a joint press statement signed by MCP publicity Maurice Munthali and UTM publicity Secretary Joseph Chidanti Malunga.

According to the two parties, President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s administration is pushing for lockdown before addressing the concerns of Malawians.
