A local manufacturing company, SRS Agro and Automotive Limited, has introduced on the market a disinfection chamber to help towards fighting Covid-19 pandemic.
The machine is made of lightweight frames with five point spraying system to ensure complete 360 degrees coverage.
It is equipped with an electric motor and 50 litres bucket with separate stands.
It is suitable for all public places including hospitals, banks, factories, offices, trading centres, shopping malls and residential blocks.
SRS Agro and Automotive Limited Director, Mani Oa, said the firm has introduced the chamber on the local market as its innovative contribution towards the fight against spread of coronavirus.
He said the machine is portable and user friendly and is developed at a low cost innovative technology support from the firm’s sister company in India.
“Being a responsible organisation in the country, we saw the need to help in prevention of Covid-19.
“We did a research with our technical service providers in India and came out with a thought of disinfection chamber which is made locally,” Oa said.
He said currently, the firm is operating in Lilongwe and Blantyre with plans to expand to other parts of the country.
