Atupele Urges Voters’ to Go For Experienced Leader

Running-mate for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)-United Democratic Front (UDF) alliance Atupele Muluzi has urged people to vote for experience leader in the fresh presidential Elections slated for July 2.

The son to former president Bakili Muluzi said this yesterday when addressed people at Biwi Triangle in the capital Lilongwe.

The young Muluzi sad there is a need for people to vote for President Peter Mutharika in the fresh elections arguing that for the past 10 months he has shown that he is the most patient leader.

According to Muluzi, the country does not need leaners to pose as leaders hence a need to vote for Mutharika who has and is serving as the president of the country qualifying him to be more experienced.

“We don’t give leadership to learners, APM is the only experienced leader Malawi wants,” he said.

On May 7, Mutharika Unveiled Muluzi as his running-mate ahead of fresh president elections ordered by the Constitutional Court following nullification of the May 21, 2019 presidential elections.

At least three contestants have presented their nomination papers in preparation of the elections.

Meanwhile, Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has officially launched official campaign period amid Coronavirus.
