Oxfarm, IDH, Rainforest Alliance donate K18 million worth sanitary items to help in Covid-19 fight

Oxfam together with IDH-Sustainable Trade Initiative and Rainforest Alliance today supported Tea Association of Malawi with K18 million worth sanitary items to prevent spread of COVID19 as the Association commemorates first ever International Tea Day. 

Oxfam Country Director, Lingalireni Mihowa presented the items to the Association.

Mihowa said Oxfarm wanted to share their cerebration with others hence donating corona virus sanitary items to the Association.

Association’s Chairperson, Sangwani Hara, thanked the three organizations for the donation saying it is timely as the country and world is fighting against corona virus pandemic.

Since its outbreak at Wuhan in China, corona has engulfed many lives across the globe including three lives in Malawi.
