Nigerian Notorious Cultist Confesses To 3 Killings Not 16,Arrested

A suspected notorious culrist who was arrested in Ogun state claims he has killed just 3 persons and not 16 as he is being accused of.

The man identified as Adeoye is said to be a member of the Eiye Confraternity was arrested alongside five others at their hideout in Ijebu-Ode over their alleged involvement in cultism, armed robbery, murder and illegal possession of firearms.

Paraded at the command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta were arrested over their alleged involvement in cultism, armed robbery, murder and illegal possession of firearms.

While the suspect was being paraded, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Kenneth Ebrimson said the suspect has been on their wanted list in connection with cult-related killings in Ijebu-Ode and its environs.

The notorious cultist who said he is the fourth in command in the confraternity in 2017, also revealed that a professional printer and a drop-out from Michael Otedola College of Education said;

“I have been arraigned twice. I was first arraigned in 2012 and regained my freedom in 2015 because the complainant did not show up in court and they could not find anything incriminating against me.

“A few days after, the police came for my arrest again and kept me in custody for another two years before I regained my freedom again in 2017.

“I have not renounced my membership. They didn’t give me the chance because they told me that they would kill me if I renounced my membership.

“I was made Chairman of a unit in the RTEAN in Ijebu Ode, but I can tell you that I have not killed 16 people, but only three.”
