Parliament to Reconvene on June 25

Speaker of the National Assembly Catherine Gotani Hara has said parliamentarians will reconvene for thecontinuation of the 2020/2021 Budget Meeting on Thursday, 25thJune, 2020 from 2:00PM and not on Monday, 22nd June 2020 as previously announced.

According to Gotani Hara in a press statement, she said the decision has been taken in order to give Members of the house to exercise their right to vote in the fresh presidential elections.

On Tuesday, June 23, Malawians are expected to go to polls to elect president following nullification of May 21, 2019 presidential elections.
