Gladson Chipumphura Appointed State House Guard Commander

Reports reaching Faceofmalawi indicate that Senior Superintendent Gladson Chipumphura has been appointed as State House Guard Commander with immediate effect.

Chipumphura has succeeded Andy Chikwapula who has been appointed as guard commander to former president Peter Mutharika.

Before his appointment, Chipumphura was a Station Officer (SO) for Mulanje district police station.

Transfers for security personnel comes at a time when Malawi has voted into poer a new president Lazarus Chakwera.

Chakwera defeated Peter Mutharika in the fresh presidential elections held on June 23, 2020.
