Leader of Opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa Congratulates Chakwera, Chilima for Winning Fresh Polls

Leader of the opposition in the August House Kondwani Nankhumwa who is also Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) vice president for the south has congratulated President Lazarus Chakwera and Vice president Saulos Chilima for winning fresh presidential elections.

Nankhumwa tendered the congratulatory message today in parliament after the house passed the provisional budget.

“I wish to congratulate His Excellency President Reverend Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and State Vice President Right Honourable Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima for their victory,” he said.

According to Nankhumwa, Chakwera is a great leader and the country is in right hands under his leadership and his vice Chilima.

“I am well aware that His Excellency Dr. Chakwera is a capable leader having worked with him in Parliament for many years when he was Leader of Opposition. As such, I have no doubt that the country will be in good and able hands,” Nankhumwa said.

Chakwera and Chilima were elected as the country’s state president and vice president respectively on June 23, when Malawians went to polls.
