The Malawi Police Service (MPS) has warned the general public against people who are demanding money from unsuspecting prospective recruits in an exchange of recruitment.
In a press statement made available to this publication, the Malawi Police has issued a strong warning to those involved in the malpractice.
â€śThe Malawi Police Service wishes to inform Malawians in general Police prospective recruits in particular to stay on guard against tricksters who are demanding money in exchange of police recruitmentâ€ť reads the statement.
The statement added; â€śThe service warns tricksters planning to steal from unsuspecting prospective recruits that they will be investigated and prosecuted.â€ť
According to the security agent, it is imperative that prospective recruits follow all recruitment process and succeed in all aptitude tests.
â€śThe service assures Malawians that the whole recruitment process is being conducted in an open and transparent manner and that all officers in the recruitment team are conducting themselves with professionalism integrity.â€ť
The police has therefore urged the public to report any individual demanding in exchange of recruitment.
