Malawi Bureau of Standard (MBS) has suspended cash payment from its customers with effect from July 14, 2020 to control the spread of Coronavirus.
This has been disclosed in a statement posted on its official facebook page seen by this publication.
“Be advised that effective 14th July, 2020; the Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) will no longer be receiving cash payments. This has been effected as one way of preventing the spread of COVID-19.
“The MBS is encouraging payments through Electronic Bank Transfers or Bank Certified Cheques,” reads in part the statement.
