A police officer is reported dead after contracting Coronavirus in the Eastern District of Zomba.
National Police Spokesperson James Kadadzera confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).
According to Kadadzera, the officer is from the Prosecution department at Eastern Region Police headquarters in Zomba.
He said the Prosecution department offices there have since been closed and all police officers who were in contact with the deceased are on self-isolation.
