Chilima shocked with UTM’s Eastern Region Governor’s Death

State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima has expressed shock over the untimely death of United Transformation Movement (UTM) Regional Governor for Eastern Region Alhaj Bernard Sande.

Sande died on Wednesday after a short illness according to a family member.

Reports indicate that Sande died of Coronavirus.

In a statement released and made available to faceofmalawi, Chilima who is also UTM President said the party has lost a warrior.

“We are totally broken at the loss of our great warrior of the moment at this critical juncture when the momentous task of building a better Malawi is just starting.

“May the almighty Allaw Bestow mercy on your soul and mend the hearts of your family and all of us your comrades,” said Chilima.
