Former legislature for Karonga central constituency Tumpale Mwenifumbo has ceased from being a member of Alliance for Democracy (AFORD).

Mwenifumbo made the announcement yesterday during a media briefing in the capital Lilongwe.

According to the former AFORD vice president, the reason behind his resignations is personal.

However, Mwenifumbo said he still remains a Tonse Alliance member which is being headed by state president and vice president Lazarus Chakwera and Saulos Chilima.

Meanwhile he has not announced his next political move.
