Covid-19; Recoveries Surpass Active Cases

Over 4, 000 people in Malawi have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, at least half of them have recovered.

In the past 24 hours, Malawi registered 4,658 total Covid-19 cases with 2,137 being active cases while 2,375 have recovered and 146 have died.

Since Malawi registered her first covid-19 cases, the numbers have been rising uncontrollably most of them being locally transmitted.

Meanwhile, government has updated Covid-19 rules in which wearing of a face mask in public places is now a must.

Gatherings of more than 10 people are currently banned.

Over 19 million people have tested positive for the virus.
