A group calling itself Mchinji Concerned Citizens is demanding the immediate transfer of the District Commissioner Peter Jimusole.
He is accused of fuelling corruption and alleged mismanagement of funds at the district council.
In their 14-day ultimatum to local government authorities, the group has also included three other officials on the list to be redeployed.
The demand comes barely days after angry Tikoliwe villagers assaulted and injured some council officials over land issues.
The accused council officials have refused to comment on the matter.
Earlier this year Jimusole was sent to a forced leave following the allegations leveled against him.
