United Democratic Front (UDF) Youth Wing Secretary General Mbiri Mulamba has resigned from his post with immediate effect.
Mulamba has cited huge workload as the main reason for his resignation and he has since submitted his re4signation letter to the party.
“I would like to thank the leadership for entrusting me with such a responsibility.
“I believe I have served the party more especially the youth wing to the best of my ability,” reads in part the letter
He added: “I would like to focus on my studies and feel I will not give the party my full support in this capacity.
“I have no outstanding assignments in my capacity and therefore submit my resignation with immediate effect.”
Mulamba said he still remain member of the party.
