Man killed by hit-and-run

An unidentified man was killed in Lilongwe on Sunday night after being hit by an unknown vehicle near Ken Zikhale Ng’oma’s residence along the Lilongwe-Dedza road.

According to Lilongwe Police Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Foster Benjamin an unknown vehicle was heading Six Miles from Nanjiri when it struck a man believed to be crossing from left to right.

Benjamin said the driver sped off, leaving the pedestrian dead due to severe head injuries.

The Police took his body to Kamuzu Central Hospital pending identification.
