Demonstrations against lack of women representation in govt yet to start

National wide protests against gender imbalance in public appointments by President Dr. Lazarus chakwera are yet to start in all major cities in the country.

The right activists led by Maggie Kathewera Banda wants Chakwera to appoint more women in public positions.

The protesters also want Chakwera to reconstitutes Boards of Parastatals by including more women in various boards as compared to current scenario where only 20% of women have been incorporated.

In Blantyre, protestors are gathering at clock Tower where demonstrations will start to Civic Office where they will present petition.

In Mzuzu, protestors have gathered at Katoto ground ready to march to Civic Offices where they will present a petition.
