Man In-Cooler For Murder, Malicious Damage In Mzimba

Police in Mzomba are keeping in custody a 35-year-old man identified as Abraham Katete of Swaswa village in Traditional Authority Mzukuzuku in Mzimba for the offence of murder and malicious damage to 10 vehicles.
Police publicist in the district, Peter Botha said Katete went on the rampage during the late hours of Saturday at Mzimba boma.
Katete, an employee at Kulima Gold Mzimba Depot looked a normal person but people got suspicious when he became violent.
He left his home undressed and went to the trading center where he pelted 10 vehicles with stones and beat up people resulting in the death of Frackson Dzimbiri, a watchman who hailed from Nkhata Bay.
Dzimbiri died on his way before reaching Mzuzu Hospital where a postmortem revealed that he died due to severe loss of blood.
Meanwhile, health experts are yet to establish mental status of Katete
