The smuggling products like body lotion on the market from Tanzania has heavily affected business sales for Health and Beauty Care Private Limited, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for H and B Care Private Limited Macbul Latif has lamented.
Speaking in an interview, Latif said the selling of smuggled products and goods in the Market like Body Lotion has an impact on their business as they are failing to make more sales.
“The Products which are imported from Tanzania has heavily affected our business. The importers never pay tax to MRA hence they don’t bring foreign exchange to the country,” said the CEO.
Latif further said the discussions on issue with Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) are underway to curb the situation and bring the culprits to book so that People should buy Malawian products to support the initiative of buying products from Malawi.
He therefore requested the Authority to take serious action on the smugglers to fight the malpractices.
Health and Beauty Care private Limited produces Products like Body Lotion, Fairness Cream, Cellodent Tooth Paste, H and B Candles and Tooth Brushes.
The company which is located opposite FDH Bank along Churchill road in Limbe started in 2009 and has its Factory in Chirimba industrial area.
