Uladi’s sentencing set for today

The High Court in Lilongwe is today expected to sentence to jail former Minister of Homeland Security Uladi Mussa in case where he is accused of abusing his office by granting citizenship to foreign nationals under the reign of Dr. Joyce Banda.

High Court Judge Chifundo Kachale convicted Mussa last week together with former Immigration top boss David Kwanjana.

But the Judge reserved his ruling to today Thursday.

Mussa, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for Central Region is the second DPP top blast to be found guilty.

The first to being convicted was DPP Regional Governor for the North Christopher Mzomera Ngwira.

Ngwira is now serving a 4 years jail sentence at Mzuzu Central Prison.
