Bob Lee Allen, 53, and Thomas Gates, 42, have reportedly been charged with the alleged castration of a 28-year-old man.
The victim had met Bob Lee Allen and Thomas Gates online.
The 28-year-old man spoke to police and explained that he had met the men on a website that advertised castrations.
The victim who, according to the Independent, has not been named in police documents, had spoken to Allen on Skype.
During the call, Allen had allegedly lied and said that he had 15 years experiences in performing similar surgeries. After this, he claimed that he would perform the procedure for free.
The man had agreed and then flown to Dallas where he was picked up from the airport by Allen. From there, instead of taking him to a medical facility, Allen had driven the man to a cabin in the woods.
According to FOX News, Allen had claimed that he was a cannibal.
Fox News reported that after the surgery, the man had woken up to Allen’s laughter. The man had then claimed that he was a cannibal and that he would eat the man’s body parts.
Moreover, he had also said that he had 6 more clients to who he was planning on doing the same thing. After the surgery, the victim was taken to the hospital as a result of heavy bleeding. There, he shared his story with hospital staff who had then alerted the police. Le Flore County Sheriff Rodney Derryberry commented:
It is something that we have never in my career run across in this part of the country.
Bob Lee Allen and Thomas Gates have reportedly been ‘charged with performing unlicensed surgery, conspiracy to commit unlicensed surgery and maiming and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon’. In addition to this, bail for each of the two men has been set at $295,000.
