Reggae Dancehall artist Beanca in nude protest against increase in rape cases in Malawi

Well-known female reggae dancehall artist Beanca has threatened to demonstrate naked against a sharp increase in rape cases in the country.

Beanca’s threat comes barely a week after a 38 year old man defiled 11 year old in Chikwawa.

The girl name withheld is currently admitted at Chikwawa District Hospital following a heavy bleeding she suffered.

Writing on her official facebook page,’Ntadekha’ hitmaker expressed shock over increase in rape cases in the country.

“Every week, women are being raped in Malawi. This needs to end ! In two weeks from now, whether I gain authorization or not, whether alone or not, I will go to the streets fully naked to demonstrate against rape,” wrote Beanca.

Three years ago comedian Bonnie Kalindo, popularly known as Winiko also threatened to hold nude protest over increase in Albino killings in the country.

But this did not materialize.

It is also yet to be seen if Beanca will really hold nude protest as promised.
