Chaos As Villagers, Losacco Estate Owner Tussle Over Boundaries In Mchinji

Disagreements erupted between communities of Mchekeni village in the area of Traditional Authority Mlonyeni in Mchinji and the owner of Losacco Estate which is along the boundaries of Malawi and Zambia on border issues.

The villagers among other things want the removal of an electric fence erected along the common boundary at the farm arguing it is a death trap to children and that it is barring them from having access to a community grave yard.

This has pricked the Malawi police and their Zambian counterpart to engage the two parties to the conflict to try and bring calm in the area.
