The First Grade Magistrate’s Court in Chikwawa on Thursday adjourned a case where 38 year old Man Lenald Kanyama is accused of defiling an eleven year old girl in Chikwawa.
The case has been adjourned to November 18, 2020 on grounds that Director of Public Prosecution wants to handle the case.
A lot of people gathered at the court to follow the case with others with aim to just see the suspect.
The state says all witnesses are ready to testify.
Suspect Kanyama has pleaded not guilty to the offence.
Throughout the court session, Kanyama who put on a yellowish short sleeve shirt and a black short trouser looked calm.
The suspect is currently remanded at Chikwawa prison.
