Chakwera Congratulates Biden For Winning US Presidential Election

Malawi’s President Lazarus Chakwera has congratulated United States of America (USA) president elect Joe Biden for emerging winner of the presidential elections held on November 3, 2020.

Writing on his Facebook page, the Malawi leader also congratulated the vice president elect Kamala Harris who is the first back-Asian woman to hold the office of vice president in the US.

According to Chakwera, the presidency of Bide and Kamala will strengthen the relationship that exist between Malawi and US.

“Congratulations to US President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice-President Elect Kamala Harris.   I know that under your leadership, Malawi-USA relations will continue to thrive. #DevelopmentPartner,” Chakwera said.

The 77 year old Biden defeated the Republican candidate Donald J. Trump who has ruled America for the past 4 years.

Biden has served as the US vice president during the leadership of Barack Obama.

Meanwhile, Trump has filed a complaint to the courts over the elections saying the process was fraudulent.

When all is done, Biden is expected to enter the white house in January 2021.
