State House says Chakwera’s son not involved in road accident

State House has rejected rumours hovering on social media claiming that Nick Chakwera, son to President President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera was involved in road accident, saying the rumours are untrue.

On Saturday, the social media was awash with pictures of a vehicle suspected of belonging to Pastor Nick Chakwera involved in road accident in Blantyre.

But Chakwera moved in to dispel the rumours, saying the reports are fake

During weekly briefing today in Mzuzu Chakwera’s executive assistant Sean Kampondeni dispelled the rumours.

Kampondeni, however, said the vehicle that was involved in an accident in Blantyre contained a member of the president’s family, a driver and a security officer.

He further said that no person was injured during the accident and the police arrived at the scene where they assisted the people involved.
