Be-Forward Wanderers GS for supporters says all is set for SMS Launch Campaign Sunday

By Robert Kumwenda

Samuel Mponda who is Be-Forward Wanderers General Secretary for supporters says all is set for SMS Launch campaign Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium whose aim is to raise funds to support the club.

He said initially the Launch was supposed to take place on 7 October but they postponed it because the Sports Minister Ulemu Msungama went outside the country but as of now he is with the National team in Borkina faso and he will be back this Saturday.

“We have invited representatives and affiliates from the Football Association of Malawi (FAM), all our supporters and all those who love football. We are asking all those that will come to grace the occasion to wear a mask and to be in blue and white attire,” he said.

Mponda has since asked their supporters to continue sending the SMS by the sending through TNM Mpamba or Airtel money.

He said they will start by a parade in the morning where their supporters from eastern region zones will meet at Zubeda in Limbe and those that are coming from the northern side of Blantyre will meet and Kandodo corner shop as they will meet at ginnery corner where they join together to Kamuzu Stadium.

“The Launch will start at 2pm where they will be cutting of a ribbon and an activity of trying to send the SMS supporters will be asked to do the same there after it will be confirmed that the SMS campaign has been launched,” he said.

He said they are very proud with the presents of the minister because it will make the SMS initiative to carry weight.

Mponda is urging their supporters to send the SMS in large numbers because it will make those who want to sponsor the club have confidence that they really have more supporters who can help them to market their business.

The Be-Forward GS for supporters said their target to raise not less than 100 million kwacha per month.

Mponda added that the procedure for sending the SMS is to dial star 444 harsh select 4 and enter merchant short call 600444 enter description where you put your name then amount then confirm by sending 1  then Mpamba pin then it is done for TNM subscribers.

For Airtel is to dial star 211 harsh select 3 then select 1 then select 8 where other comes then put nickname MANOMA then enter amount then reference which is the name of the club then pin code then it is done.
