Lightening Strikes Learners In Nkhatabay

At least 20 learners have been admitted at Nkhatabay District Hospital after being stricken by lightening at Mazembe Primary school in the district.

According to reports gathered, the incident occurred when the learners were learning under a tree due to shortage of classrooms.

It is also reported that with the Coronavirus pandemic, most student are learning outside as a way of meeting precautionary measures to halt the spread of the virus.

In an interview with Mazembe Primary School Headteacher, Gabriel Mankhwa said they do not have an option but to continue teaching under the trees.
