Zimbabwe Police Grant Friends Of Ginimbi Permission To Hold Farewell Party

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has granted the friends of the late businessman Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure permission to hold a farewell party in his honour at his Domboshava mansion in Mashonaland East Province.

In a letter dated 12 November 2020, and addressed to Mike Chimombe and All Friends of Ginimbi, ZRP Chinamhora said they can hold the event today, but warned them against violating the corpse.

Police also ordered the Friends of Ginimbi and to ensure that peace and order are maintained throughout. The letter read in part:

Your request to conduct a farewell party for the late Genius Gini Kadungure at Ginimbi’s Mansion, Domboshava on the 12th of November 2020 from 1800 hours till late has been received.

… permission to conduct the party has been granted at Marondera Police Provincial Headquarters on the 10th of November 2020.

Avoid violation of the corpse(s)… maintain peace and order throughout the event.
