Interns Under Govt To Hold Vigils Over Unpaid September, October Stipends


A grouping of interns under the government internship programme say they will hold vigils at Capitol Hill this Friday if government does not pay them their September and October stipends by Thursday.
Steven Zaweni, Acting spokesperson for the interns said the decision to stage the vigil has been reached at after authorities’ failure to commit as to when they will pay they will pay them their stipends.
According to Zaweni if the Ministry of youth will not respond by Thursday, they will be left will no option but to stage the vigil at capital hill.
