Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) will hold by-elections in Phalombe North Constituency, Mangochi North East Constituency and Mangochi Central Constituency on December 15, 2020.
MEC Chairperson Justice Chifundo Kachale disclosed this during a media briefing held today.
MEC postponed the by-elections in three constituencies on November 10, 2020 following a court order that the electoral body should conduct the polls with the same older voters roll and maintain the candidates that competed in the annulled May 21, 2019 polls.
During the briefing,Dr Kachale also announced that the main national Tally Centre will be set up in Blantyre this time.
He further disclosed that Mec has maintained the company that printed ballots in the last elections.
