Man rapes 14-year-old daughter,Threatens Wife

In yet another incident of sexual assault, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped multiple times by her father over the last nine months in Vadodara district of Gujarat. The accused was arrested following a complaint by the teenage survivor on Tuesday.

Eldest of three siblings, the teenager, in her complaint at Bhadarva police station in the district’s Savli taluka, stated that her father, a 38-year-old auto-rickshaw driver, used to sexually assault her when she would be alone in the house. He also threatened to murder her mother and siblings whenever she protested, she added.

According to a report by The Times of India, the heinous crime came to fore when the 14-year-old missed her periods, following which her mother questioned her. The teenager narrated her ordeal to her mother.

The woman, after learning about the shocking act of her husband, confronted him. He, instead of admitting to the heinous crime, threatened her with dire consequences and told her to not disclose it to anyone.

“The girl’s mother wanted to lodge a complaint, but the accused threatened her with dire consequences and pressurized her not to do so. However, the mother-daughter duo gathered courage and approached us,” a police official told TOI.

Based on the teenager’s complaint, police arrested the accused and booked him for rape and criminal intimidation under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. C
