21 year old man Clement Chingwe has been killed for attempting to rape a 13 year old girl in Msundwe, Lilongwe.
The man identified as Lemiton Ngozo the father to the young girl is said to have killed Chingwe who was working for him.
According to reports, last night Ngozo heard screams coming from the room of his daughter as she was shouting for help when Chingwe came to defile her.
Out of anger, Ngozo apprehended, Chingwe and beaten him to death which attracted negative reactions from the relatives of Chingwe who later went to the scene.
Central Region Police spokesperson Alfred Chinthere says police are still investigating the matter.
According to Chinthere, there were attempts by the communities to beat up the victim’s father in retaliation for his action.
The deceased hailed from Mango village, T/A Njewa in Lilongwe.
