A 31 year old man identified as Mphaso Chisemphere, has died after being struck by lightning in Kasungu district.
It is said that the deceased together with his elder brother, were attending a funeral ceremony at a nearby village.
But while in the graveyard, he was struck by the lightening and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Kapiri Mission Hospital.
The deceased, hailed from Chipozi Nkhono village, Traditional Authority Santhe in the district.
Recently, there have been an increase of lightning related deaths across the country.
