Woman Dies On Lover’s Wedding After She Consumes Abortion Pills Given By Him

A woman died after she allegedly consumed abortion pills handed over to her by her lover. The incident took place on the day of the man’s wedding in Uttar Pradesh. The 24-year-old man had allegedly been exploiting the woman on the pretext of marriage for several months.

The woman, who was five months pregnant at the time of admission, was rushed to the hospital due to complications. The woman breathed her last on Tuesday.

The accused was identified as Rahul. On Monday afternoon, the woman was rushed to a hospital while Rahul was prepping for his wedding.

SSP Bulandshahr Santosh Kumar said that the woman was in a relationship with Rahul who had allegedly been exploiting her on the pretext of marriage. On the day of the incident, the woman consumed abortion pills on the day of Rahul’s wedding and she started bleeding, The Times of India reported.

The woman then rushed to a hospital in Bulandshahr. She was shifted to a government hospital in Meerut after her condition deteriorated. The woman breathed her last at the Meerut hospital.

The family members of the victim said that she had received the pills from Rahul. The deceased woman’s uncle said, “He (the accused) had been sexually exploiting her on the pretext of marriage. And he gave her the pills to abort. We got to know when she (the victim) started bleeding.” The accused was booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He was arrested a few moments before his wedding procession started.
