T/A Nkula of Machinga dies


The Ministry of Local Government regrets to announce the death of Traditional Authority (T/A) Nkula of Machinga District.

Chief Nkula, born Hastings Lupale, died at his home during the night of Tuesday 5th January, 2021 after a short illness.

He was born on 3rd May, 1962 and was installed as T/A at Nanyumbu headquarters in the district on 28th February 2016.

The chief is survived by 2 wives, 17 children and 46 grandchildren.

Burial of the remains of T/A Nkula will take place on Thursday 7th January, 2021 at his headquarters.
