Mohammad Sidik Mia laid to rest in Chikwawa

The body of Malawi Congress party, MCP Vice President Mohammad Sidik Mia, who was also minister of Transport, has been laid to rest.
The burial took place around 8pm at Makande under Ngabu area in Chikwawa yesterday.
Before his body’ arrival, villagers gathered at Ngabu in ‘disbelief and tears’ with others saying they had lost a loving leader.
Mia, a devote Muslem who should have turned 56 in March died yesterday of Covid-19.
He is survived by a wife and four children.
