Mtambo Calls For Unity In Fighting Against Covid-19

Minister of Civic Education and National Unity Timothy Mtambo has called for unity if the country is to win the fight against Coronavirus which has left a lot of countries across the world overwhelmed.

Mtambo was speaking yesterday during daily Covid-19 updates by the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19 in Lilongwe.

According to Mtambo, there is a need to have collective effort in fighting the pandemic, pointing out that the pandemic can claim life of any person regardless of personality and status.

He further added that government is doing anything possible to contain the spread of the virus but it is the responsibility of every person to fight the pandemic.

The human rights advocate cum politician also stressed that there is a need to avoid spreading false rumors regarding the pandemic.

He further urged Malawians that f they are not understanding some things of the pandemic they should be engaging relevant authorities such as medical people or government authorities for accurate information.

Recently social media has been awash with reports regarding the procurement of Covid-19 vaccine which is being associated with 666 hence making a lot of people uninterested to get the vaccines.
