Jilted Woman Burns Down Hubby’s Car Following A Cheating Dispute

ZIMBABWE – A jilted woman is alleged to have burnt down her husband’s car to ashes following a cheating dispute.
Faceofmalawi has learned from a local publication PachopisaTv that, Rudo Chakanyuka  (45)  burnt down her husband’s Nissan Caravan to ashes in a fit of jealousy after she had suspected him of cheating on her.
Masvingo Provincial Police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the incident which happened on the  2nd of January at Mucheke stadium.
According to close sources, Chakanyuka who is married to Denfod Mazorodze is alleged to have went along with her husband to Chitima market for some business. While at the market, Mazorodze is reported to have asked his wife for the car keys so that he could charge his cell phone.
Chakanyuka reportedly refused to hand-over the keys and threatened to burn the car as she suspected her husband wanted to communicate with his girlfriend.

She later drove the vehicle alone without her husband’s knowledge and when he called to find out where she was, Chakanyuka boldly answered that she was now at Mucheke stadium burning down his car.

By the time Mazorodze rushed to the scene, it was too late, as Chakanyuka had already set the vehicle on fire and stood by as it burned with all the doors locked and windows shut.
Following the incident, Chakanyuka also threatened to burn down all of his clothes.

The matter was reported to the police leading to her arrest. The value of the goods damaged is said to be worth US$ 6 000.

Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa encouraged members of the public to find counseling in the event of disputes and to resolve domestic differences peacefully.
