AFORD denies being funded by MCP

Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) has denied social media allegations that the party is being funded by the Malawi Congress Party (MCP)

The allegations follows a photo of a bus circulating on the social media with AFORD logo and name.

Speaking in an interview with the press senior members at the party said, it’s sad that People rush to bring up conclusions without enquiring with the relevant authorities.

“As a party we have our own ways of getting funds and we have enough resources with the aim of reaching all the corners of the country,” Said the official.

He further said the Coach Bus doesn’t belong to AFORD as it is just a design from one of the followers of the party who was suggesting on how a bus would look like as the party plans to buy one in the near future.

He added that all the other photos with the Party’s name and logo on it are genuine except for the bus.
